Guthrie, Oklahoma, played host to an electrifying display of skill and horsemanship on March 26, as the Charlie 1 Horse All-Girl Roping event unfolded during the prestigious Wrangler Bob Feist Invitational (BFI) Roping Week. Held at the iconic Lazy E Arena, this annual competition continues to be a highlight in the world of women’s rodeo, bringing together top-tier female ropers for a day of intense competition, camaraderie, and substantial payouts.

Team Roping Kicks Off the Action

The highly anticipated Charlie 1 Horse All-Girl Team Roping featured 240 teams and awarded a total payout of $131,600. Competitors had the opportunity to enter twice or draw all, with a total of four runs available. The event followed a progressive-after-two format over four steers, ensuring that only the best would make it through to the later rounds. Utilizing two arenas and a WS barrier system, the competition was intense and fast-paced, with an 80% payback ensuring strong incentives for participants. Additionally, the $7,500 guaranteed incentive provided further motivation for competitors to bring their best to the arena.
In the end, Beverly Robbins and Jimmi Jo Montera emerged victorious, roping four steers in a blazing 34.50 seconds to take home the title and a $20,000 paycheck. Robbins rode her 12-year-old mare, "Waspy," while Montera relied on her 8-year-old horse, "Mamba," to help execute their winning performance.
The winning duo didn’t just take home bragging rights—they scored an incredible prize package featuring Charlie 1 Horse hats, Cactus Saddles, Gist Buckles, a Turtlebox speaker, YETI backpacks, Equinety supplements, and Justin Boots. With a lightning-fast aggregate time of 34.50 seconds on four steers, they sealed their well-earned victory in style.
The incentive winners for the team roping were Kinsley Baxter and Lorraine Moreno, who delivered a total time of 26.46 seconds. Their roping skills earned them a well-deserved prize of $9,000.

Breakaway Roping Brings the Excitement

Following the conclusion of team roping, the Charlie 1 Horse All-Girl Breakaway Roping took center stage at the iconic Lazy E Arena, where 237 entries vied for an impressive $99,150 total purse. The format featured a progressive-after-two structure over three head, with a 75% payback. Young competitors were also given a chance to shine with the 18 & Under Incentive, guaranteeing a $1,000 payout to the champion, fostering the growth of the next generation of elite breakaway ropers.
Emilee Charlesworth etched her name in BFI Week history by claiming the 2025 Charlie 1 Horse All-Girl Breakaway Roping title. The 19-year-old from Marathon, Texas, dominated the field, securing victory with a total time of 9.92 seconds on three head. Her impressive performance earned her a $21,000 payout along with a prize package featuring Charlie 1 Horse hats, Cactus Saddles, Gist Buckles, a Turtlebox speaker, YETI backpacks, Equinety supplements, and Justin Boots.Charlesworth kicked off her campaign in style, winning Round 1 with a 2.78-second run that earned her an additional $1,250. She took a strategic approach in Round 2, opting for a controlled 4.0-second run to maintain her standing. Entering the short round at third callback, she stuck to her game plan and roped efficiently to clinch the championship. A key to Charlesworth’s success was her 10-year-old mare, "Hallelujah." Having owned the horse since it was four years old, Charlesworth showcased the versatility and consistency of her equine partner.
The Charlie 1 Horse Breakaway Roping also awarded top youth incentive honors to 17-year-old Audrey Kremer of Wyoming. She won the 18-and-under division with a $1,400 paycheck and an extensive prize package. Roping three head of calves in 11.94 seconds, Kremer and a strong field of young athletes showcased the bright future of breakaway roping.
